Hello hello, gorgeous Coven member! Thank you so very much for stopping by our 'About Us' page. A bit about me.. I am 30 years young. I am the sole owner operator of Obsidian Moon Crate. I also work a 9-5 Monday through Friday. I gave birth to two little monsters masquerading as human boys. I am happily married to a wonderful human. I am a cis-gender Pansexual who loves everyone with my whole heart. My most favorite book series ever is All for the Game by Nora Sakavic.

I created OMC as a way to share that love. Also because I felt that there was a huge lack of darker themed boxes and even more importantly as a way to highlight the LGBTQIA+, POC/BIPOC and other communities that I felt don’t receive all of the recognition and love that they deserve in our book community.

Rachel met Taylor through bookstagram in 2020 and got to watch OMC grow from a “what if” idea into the amazing boxes we see today. She also helps out OMC as Coven Leader - helping answer your questions, share stories/info/updates, and assists Taylor in whatever way she can. 

Rachel lives in Virginia, loves pandas, and is proud to be part of an awesome coven and represent a box that caters to inclusion, diversity, and all witchy things.

Some of her favorite authors include Ella Frank, Charlie Cochet, Onley James, Piper Scott, Riley Hart, Alice Oseman, and Anna-Marie McLemore. She loves romance and fantasy/sci-fi books, and can usually be found reading and hanging out with her two dogs.

Taylor and I became friends through bookstagram early 2020 and I have been overjoyed watching her company grow over these last two years! I am part of her curation team an shave loved helping brainstorm ideas for OMC's boxes. Being part of this wonderful, witchy and diverse coven is easily one of my favorite parts of being on bookstagram. I am from Minnesota and love to hike, play ultimate frisbee with my friends, and spend my weekends checking out new restaurants and breweries! I am a huge lover of all things fantasy, scifi, anime and romance. A few of my favorite authors are Sarah J Maas, Ruby Dixon, Onley James, Rick Riordan, Jay Kristoff, and Roshani Chokshi.

I'm Jess! I'm an author, reader, and candle collector! My favorite color is pink, my favorite thing is pirates, and my favorite person is my cat (sorry husband). I love reading anything PNR and Fantasy, and as long as there's romance, I'm into it! I love being a rep for Taylor and supporting diverse books and other small businesses!

Colby’s first friend on bookstagram was Taylor, where they discussed their love of books and all things witchy. She was so pleased to watch Taylor turn an amazing idea into a successful, inclusive and fun business. She is grateful to be a permanent rep for OMC and loves to promote such an incredible business. 

Colby lives in Scotland, filling her house with novels, bookish merch and way too many bookmarks. Some of her favourite genres are romance, fantasy and thriller - though she’s usually willing to give any book a shot. She is wildly obsessed with books Stalking Jack the Ripper and Red, White & Royal Blue, but has other favourites which include: The Witch Haven, From Blood And Ash, Serpent & Dove, Promises And Pomegranates, and Throne of Glass. 

You’ll always find Colby reading too many books at once or trying to finish one of her many manuscripts… Though, she’s most likely procrastinating both things by occupying herself with all things OMC.
